A: Listn is a free app for iOS devices that helps you keep track of the music you discover. It works like a todo list specifically designed to capture music so when you add artists to your Listn list you can get all kinds of cool information, like artist photos, discographies, bios, and even listen to music. You can get it in
the US iOS App Store.
A: We are using iTunes, the world's largest and most up-to-date music catalog in the world, to show discographies, song samples, and enable purchasing. We are then matching that content with Last.fm to surface crowd sourced biographies and artist images. (This content is licensed under Creative Commons.)
A: When you have a lot of artists in your Listn list you might want to star your favorites, which will place that artist at the top of your list.
A: Just like a todo list, you tap the checkbox when you're done with the artist. The artist will then be archived at the bottom of your Listn list.
A: If your band has a release in iTunes, it will show up in Listn.
A: Just swipe on the artist you wish to remove from left to right and press delete.
A: You sure can! Just tap on the album artwork when you’re viewing an album.
A: Not yet! But we are working hard to give users this option in a later release. Stay tuned!
A: iTunes only provides 30 second clips to their partners.
A: Listn gets artist biographies from Last.fm. If you’d like to contribute to the biography data on last.fm, we encourage you to do so! Sign up at
last.fm.
A: Sometimes artists come up with the same exact names as others. Listn is still a baby and doesn't know how to decipher duplicates yet, but it's going to soon! Hang tight!
A: Send us an
email. We’d love to talk to you!
A: Awesome! We've made it easy for you. Just head over to
